Google released what seems to be a re-skin of the most loved IDE in the IT industry: Visual Studio Code.
As they state in the product website idx aims to enhance the development experience through the revolutionary introduction of AI in development process and experience (DX).
But… Wait a minute!
Copilot is already installable on any VSCode with just an extension.

Once again my paint skills >>>>> yours.
Copilot was released in October 2021.
Google = Slowpoke?

I’m really good at memes and Paint 3D, hire me!
Why should someone want a web-based VSC? Oh well to be honest if the performances are even close to the installed version I’m already sold. Imagine the amount of RAM we, developers, could save. Insane.
At what cost though?
It is still unclear wether IDX will be a revolution or the last of Google’s kills.
But since I don’t really like to be biased (just pretending to be) I’ve joined the waitlist!

Cool layout I must say it
I’ll let you know if it is worth it once (and if) they let me in.
